Come out to Mauldin High School’s Freeman Field tonight and support the Mavs as they host the 2013 Chick-fil-A Kickoff Classic.
Starting at 6:00 p.m., Mauldin’s annual football jamboree will feature 8 teams playing in a total of four half games.
- Game 1: Powdersville vs. Eastside — 6 p.m.
- Game 2: Hillcrest vs. Wren — 7 p.m.
- Game 3: J.L. Mann vs. Carolina — 8 p.m.
- Game 4: Berea vs. Mauldin — 9 p.m.
The Mavericks’ match up against Berea will be the only home game situation before next week’s home/season opener against Hillcrest, so come out for the Orange and Brown, and welcome Coach Lee Taylor as he leads Mauldin in his first year as Varsity head coach.
TAFT’S PERSONAL NOTE: Hmm. A guy named Coach Taylor leading a small town high school varsity football program playing under the lights on Friday night. Maybe somebody could make a television show about that. What would they call it, though?
Go, Mavs!
