“Being able to welcome BB&T’s Mortgage Division is an enormous opportunity for the City of Mauldin,” said Taft Matney, city council member and chairman of the Economic Planning and Development Committee.
“BB&T’s decision to locate in Millport at East Butler and I-385 showcases more advantages for business in Mauldin. This project will attract more businesses, hotels, and restaurants to the area and highlight the city as a prime location for corporate investment. The collaboration among Jack Shaw and Sons, Mauldin’s city staff, Greenville County, and the state Department of Commerce to attract another great project to the City of Mauldin highlights Commerce Secretary Bobby Hitt’s philosophy that economic development is a team sport,” Matney added.
