I believe that small business is the driving force behind our economy, but there are times where a major business announcement can really add some extra “oomph” to local markets.
Mauldin recently played a part in just such an announcement as Esurance, the direct-to-consumer insurance company, unveiled its plan to open a new sales and claims office at 1200 Brookfield Boulevard in Mauldin that will employ up to 450 South Carolina residents.
Esurance’s Mauldin office will be the company’s fifth sales office in the country and will have job openings expected to include inside sales positions that can offer an average annual salary of $50,000 (before incentives).
US Senator Tim Scott was pivotal in bringing the company to Mauldin, but as he also told WYFF’s Nigel Robertson, “Mauldin played a major role.”
Senator Scott added, “The fact of the matter is that we have so many hard-working people here who are everyday working on the task of economic development.”
Thank you, Senator Scott.
Welcome to Mauldin, Esurance.
